The easiest tool to get started with is the CosmoSim GUI.
The other tools are under constant development and the documentation is lagging behind. The proposed pipeline for Machine Learning for Gravitational Lenses is probably the best starting point.
Recently, an API has been added to use the simulator from Jupyter Notebook or custom scripts. This is not yet documented.
